Think About It
ANNOUNCER: Hey pal, driving the big rig time for a little reality check. Let's say you're standing in line to buy movie tickets. A guy wants to cut in front of you. What do you say?
TRUCKER: Don't even think about it.
ANNOUNCER: Right. Now, what if a 4-wheeler out on the highway wants to cut in front of your truck?
TRUCKER: Don't even think about it!
ANNOUNCER: Wrong! Out there the stakes are higher. So take the high road and back off. In a wreck, everyone loses. A public service message from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Cutting In Line
Cutting in line is rude, but out on the highway, cutting in front of a truck could be lethal. Truckers, take the high road, back down, leave a cushion, be a hero. A public service safety message from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
So Far, So Good
ANNOUNCER: You say your vehicle has air bags, high impact bumpers and you always wear your seat belt. So far, so good. But if you should cut in front of an 18-wheeler on the highway and make that truck jam on his brakes, all of your high tech safety features just might sound like this.
CRUMPFT! (sound effect)
It can take a truck twice as long to stop as a car. For your own safety, give those big rigs a lot of room. Remember, tangle with a truck and you lose. A public service safety message from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
On Top
On the highway, a truck needs more time to stop than a car. So when you pull in front of a truck, make sure there is enough room behind you because there is no room on top of it. A public service safety message from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
